Dr. Gaurav Kharya is a globally recognized Senior Consultant & Head of Pediatric Hemato-Oncology, Immunology, and Bone Marrow Transplant at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, UK fellowship training from Great North Children's Hospital, and over 1,000 pediatric transplants completed, he is recognized for pioneering haploidentical BMT protocols for primary immunodeficiencies and hemoglobinopathies.

A haploidentical transplant utilizes a half-matched family member (most often a parent) as a stem cell donor when a 100% matched sibling or unrelated donor is not available. Using advanced TCR Alpha/Beta and CD19 cell-depletion techniques, the harmful T-cells that cause graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) are filtered out, providing a safe, curative transplant option for nearly every child requiring BMT.

He is available for clinical consultations and inpatient BMT admissions at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, located on Delhi Mathura Road, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi, India.

International families can send their child's complete blood counts, bone marrow biopsy reports, genetic testing panels, HLA typing reports (for patient and family members), and clinical summaries via LyfCure. Our international patient care team arranges an evaluation with Dr. Kharya, provides transparent BMT package cost estimates, issues hospital visa invitation letters, and coordinates airport reception and specialized post-transplant housing in New Delhi.
