Biography

Dr. Vivek Chaturvedi is an eminent and internationally recognized Interventional Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist with more than 26 years of clinical, procedural, and academic distinction. He currently serves as Senior Director of Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Patparganj (New Delhi) and Vaishali (Ghaziabad / Delhi NCR).

After completing his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine, Dr. Chaturvedi earned his super-specialization (DM) in Cardiology from the premier Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow. He subsequently undertook specialized fellowship training in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing at premier cardiovascular centers, mastering 3D electro-anatomical mapping and complex arrhythmia ablations.

Dr. Chaturvedi has performed thousands of interventional cardiac and electrophysiology procedures. He is widely recognized for his precision in radiofrequency catheter ablation of complex supraventricular tachycardias (SVT), atrial fibrillation (AFib), and ventricular tachycardias (VT), utilizing advanced 3D systems (CARTO and EnSite). He is also an expert in the implantation of cardiac devices, including leadless pacemakers, biventricular pacemakers (CRT-D / CRT-P), and subcutaneous and transvenous implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs).

His clinical practice encompasses cardiac electrophysiology study (EPS) and catheter ablation, sudden cardiac arrest prevention, complex coronary artery angioplasty (PTCA) with drug-eluting stents, heart failure pacing, syncope evaluation, and structural heart therapies.

Find answers to common questions about Dr. Vivek Chaturvedi, cardiac electrophysiology, radiofrequency catheter ablation, pacemakers, and international patient care.

Dr. Vivek Chaturvedi is the Senior Director of Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Patparganj (New Delhi) and Vaishali (Delhi NCR). With more than 26 years of experience, trained at SGPGIMS Lucknow, he is recognized as one of India's foremost specialists in cardiac electrophysiology, radiofrequency catheter ablation, 3D cardiac mapping, pacemakers, and ICD implantations.

An Electrophysiology Study (EPS) is a specialized catheter-based test that records electrical signals inside the heart to diagnose abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias). Radiofrequency catheter ablation uses targeted radiofrequency energy delivered through catheter tips to precisely scar the microscopic tissue causing the irregular electrical short-circuit, curing the arrhythmia in most patients without long-term medication.

He is available for clinical consultations at Max Super Speciality Hospital, located at 108A, I.P. Extension, Patparganj, New Delhi, as well as Max Super Speciality Hospital, Sector 1, Vaishali, Ghaziabad / Delhi NCR, India.

International patients can send their 12-lead ECGs, Holter monitor recordings, echocardiograms, coronary angiograms, and case summaries via LyfCure.
